Shift Schedule Details

We want Star Wars fans to be lined up 1 month in advance of the opening day. Not everyone can be there all the time of course! However our aim is to have a constant presence in front of the theater. At any time of the day, we should have a couple of fans out there raising awareness for both Episode 1 and for the Starlight Foundation. Thus we want the line manned at all times, ideally at least 3-4 people.

Each shift is associated with a number of points (the more difficult the shift, the higher the points). Difficulty has been dictated by the following factors: date, time and duration. In order to be eligible for tickets to any or both of the shows, members will have to accumulate a minimum of 10 points. The point system will give equal chances to anyone wishing to qualify for a ticket.

We have made sure that obtaining the minimum is neither too hard nor too easy. Besides, the timing and duration of each shift should allow everyone to take part in this event whether one is a professional or student working/studying full-time or part-time.

The schedule will allow you to choose the shifts that are most suitable for you. You will have to ensure that you make enough shifts so as to meet the 10 point minimum.

There is no minimum number of shifts.

There is a limit of one ticket per line member (this is to avoid scalping).

Finally, once you have met the minimum number of points, any additional points will make you eligible for prizes and even preferential seating. Please note, if for any reason you do not complete the minimum points, your payment for the ticket will be forfeited. By paying the $11.00 you are agreeing to accumulate the minimum number of points required.

Shift Boss positions needed.

Shift Bosses will provide an invaluable service for the line.
As a Shift Boss, you will be able to purchase ONE ADDITIONAL TICKET for the a screening of Episode I, but it is very important to understand the responsibilities that will come with the position.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Being on time!

- Monitoring of equipment and storage of equipment, when necessary.

- Insuring the cleanliness of the theater’s line-up area.

- Taking attendance to insure points are noted for those line-up participants that showed up for a particular shift.

- Reporting any problems immediately to the theater management and Line coordinators.

There will be a form to fill out in order to be eligible for a ticket as well as a liability waiver to be signed prior to your lining up. The form will be printed out and mailed back to us with a money order (for overseas members an international money order or traveler's check) and the signed waiver for tickets. Upon receipt of your money you will be assigned a reference number as well as confirmation of the shifts requested.
